Your Monthly Guide to the Simple Life From Marla and Lisa
April 2006

When springtime arrives, many of us feel the need for change, a room painted, a closet cleaned, a vacation away from the everyday. If there are too many "to dos" or too many projects, we often won't take that one step that will allow us to breathe in the new springtime energy. We want to give you a few ideas on how to make it Fun & SIMPLE.

  • SIMPLE LIFE TIP - Spring Projects Made Fun & SIMPLE

Time to take in that Springtime energy. Breathe in and relax. Remember springtime is about growth and new energy

We at Clear & SIMPLE™ are no different - we each have taken on major projects during this time of growth and renewal. Marla is traveling to see family and is organizing her daughters room with her daughter as the client. Lisa has had rooms painted, cabinets installed, and asked for help in organizing a storage room.

Using See It • Map It • and Do It™ allows you to get it done and have fun while doing it.

    SEE IT

Choose the one area of your space that would make the most difference to you and/or your family. Is it clearing the land, painting a room, organizing the toys or the garage or taking a trip to get away? Just choose one and let that be enough. Or let each person choose one....

    MAP IT

Write out your desire or intention for the space when it is clear or transformed. Let this be fun. Get everyone involved.

    DO IT
When you are ready to put things away, finding the right container will determine if you keep it up or if you return to the old patterns. So think about use when choosing containers. Can you carry it? Do you like lids or not? Would a drawer be easier to control? Maybe an open container like the featured baskets will keep things in their place better than a container with a lid.

Once you have put things in their container, label it. Labeling containers and shelves is our most powerful tip for keeping it up.

    HAVE FUN!
